2026 Senior Country Championships

Player nominations are now open

Senior Men, Masters Women, Masters Men are now full.  Still chasing a few Senior Women.  Although we will consider entering a second Masters Men if required.

This year we are asking for a $50 nomination fee. If you are successful in being selected for the SCC team your nomination fee will go towards the final player's fee.  If you are unsuccessful you will be refunded your nomination fee.

What are the Senior Country Championships (SCC)?

The Senior Country Championships are an annual Event, which see teams from all over regional Victoria assemble converge to play in a Round Robin Event. It is a fantastic opportunity for the best hockey talent in regional Victoria to go head to head with each other.   HCV usually enters teams in all categories from Senior Men (Open Age), Senior Women (Open Age), Masters Men (35+) and Masters Women (35+)

When is the SCC tournament?

2026 SCC will take place on Saturday 6th to Monday 8th June

Where is the SCC Tournament?

• Bendigo Hockey Centre

Which Age group do I belong to?

SCC is targeted to over 18s.  If you are nominating for Masters, you will need to have been born in or before 1992.

How much will SCC cost?

Total cost for SCC will be $70.  Your nomination fee will be taken out of your playing fee

How do I nominate?

Register with this event, pay your nomination fee of $50.  (If you are not successful in your SCC journey, this will be refunded).  If you are successful, it will be taken out of your total playing fee.

You will need to be registered with HV (through your HCV club) with a full membership to nominate and compete in SCC.  

When are Team Entries Due

Teams need to be entered by the 1st of May 2026 so get nominating!

When are the training / assessment sessions?

• 24th May 7am-9am
• 31st May 7am-9am

Uniforms

All players will be provided with a HCV (Blue / Gold) playing shirt that will be required to be returned at the completion of the tournament.

Players will be required to provide their own royal blue shorts (or skorts) and blue and gold hooped socks.  

Blue Gold hooped socks (like Golden Square Football Club socks) have been ordered and will be available for collection from a team manager or on our Merch page. If you require socks please contact your team Manager no later than the end of the second training session (6th May) The cost of the socks will be $15.

HCV will also have hoodies available for purchase for $50.  The hoodies will be a royal blue zip up hoodie with name on the back.

You can purchase your hoddie from our shop. Hoodie Orders will be re-opened for SCC until 8th May
