The HV North West Coach Developer, Kate Gifford, in partnership with HCV would like to invite you to the first Coach Development Course. The first session will be more theory based as an introduction to the program, your WHY & session planning.  The second session will be a more practical session about coaching techniques and drills to be held at a future date. This event is open to all coaches, other officials, players and parents.

Questions to consider and discuss:

-Are you a playing Coach?
-As a Coach what areas have you noticed that junior players are lacking in? E.g. Trapping, Hitting, Manning Up.
-What would you like to learn more about in the in-person sessions? E.g. Physical Drills/Warm Up, Further Coaching Opportunities, Organisation of sessions, Teaching Different Age Groups, How to become accredited?
-Do you feel as a Coach you are a valued member of the association? - Why is this or what can we improve on?
-Do you feel as a Coach you would like to learn more about the rules and interpretations of the game from umpires?
-How can the association better support you as a Coach?
-What are some things you would like to see change in the association from a Coaching Perspective?
-What other resources would you like? E.g. Association Emails, More Social Media Coverage, Links to Drills/Newsletters?
-Are you likely to return as a Coach in 2026 - why/why not?
-Anything not covered you would like?
